Well.... It's a.... GIRL!

Today we went for our big ultrasound and it was our first look at the baby. It was so much more exciting in person than the pictures show! Seeing it moving all around!! The tech took all sorts of measurements and for awhile she didn't think we would get to find out the sex, since the legs were close and feet were together everytime we looked. Baby also hadn't shown us a face or profile... but just as we were almost done, she flipped over and here is her face... then we got a better look at other things and the tech said she wouldn't absolutely guarantee it, but is pretty sure she's a girl! Here in the picture, she looks all cozy tucked in on her side there... Mark said she looked like an alien baby... oh well :D

A girl! How exciting! One word of warning though, when they did the first ultrasound for our son Ryan, we were told he was a girl. Of course, that was almost 21 years ago. They are certainly more precise now!

I think Amy Kathleen would be a great name for the alien baby!

Hooray fo Barbies and toe nail polish and Mary Janes and ponies and kitties and rainbows and beating up boys (at least at our house) and ponytails and oh, just all of those wonderful girlie things! ((If it turns out to be incorrect gendering, we'll say Hooray to Hot Wheels Cars and dirt and sticks and mud.....))

Congratulations! Girls are a lot of fun (and so are boys). I think Caryn Beth is an excellent name, especially if she has "mugowy eyes."

Thanks everyone and thanks for all the name suggestions :D

MK - she might indeed have mugowy eyes!

I'm also wondering if she might have reddish hair!! I somehow could see me having a red headed baby more than a blonde. It will be fun to find out.

Wait! I forgot to suggest a name! Lets see, my grandmother and her twin wanted me to name Jackson "Quincy Belle" if he was a girl. And Miss Florence once thought my name was "Kitty." I'm sure you'll love any of those choices! Personally, I would love to have a Maggie or a Sally added to my brood. Haha. Wouldn't it be cute to have a Sally and a Sophy? Hehehee. I'm sure you'll choose something more tame.

Congrats! So many girls coming to our rugby families. Baylor women's rugby should have quite a nice team in 18 years!! ^_^

We are so thrilled for all three of you. The baby looks like an Anna - a perfect name for a perfect baby.
