Some Weekend Fun

Yesterday our neighborhood had its July 4th 'parade'. This is when the kids decorate their bikes and wagons and things in patriotic colors and ride through the neighborhood. Anna didn't participate, but we did go out to watch. Here she is ready to watch in her hat :)Anna was so cute today and our tree is so pretty that we had to take a couple pics after church. YEA New Furniture!

Today we went to Ashley Furniture for one new couch for downstairs (since we are down there alot more now with the baby), but somehow we ended up with two couches, a chair, and an area rug. They should be here mid July.

Miss Marley's Debut!

My friend, Melanie, had her baby on Tuesday, June 24. She was 8lbs, 1 oz and 19 inches long... isn't she sweet? She's here with her proud Daddy, David, and her big brother, Nathan. Congratulations!!

Anna & Clara Visit the Dallas Zoo

Today, we made a trip to the Dallas Zoo. Anna was so excited - this is how she saw most of the animals.
Clara was a bit more interested in the animals. She really liked the elephant!And we couldn't find the real otters, but isn't this the cutest otter ever?In the Children's Zoo area, there was an indoor area (YEA Air Conditioning!) where Clara was enjoying putting together a puzzle! Anna just seemed to enjoy watching Clara. We had a wonderful time at the zoo!

Visitors from Arkansas

This week, we are having visitors from Arkansas... they came to meet Anna for the first time! Clara has been waiting to meet 'Baby Anna' for quite some time now and seems to be enjoying her visit so far! Here's Amanda, Anna & Clara... Clara is great at feeding Anna her bottle. She wasn't distressed, despite the expression on her face.
However, she was slightly distressed in this one because Anna had just started a good cry! I had to take this one because Clara showed up in a shirt today that Anna had in her closet in a size 6 months. It actually wasn't all that big on her!

Well, it is official, the birthday celebration is over, and William Dunn is now 93. Over 40 people turned up in Waskom, TX from as far as NJ, HI, and CA to celebrate with Anna's Great Grandfather. Thank you all for your prayers a couple weeks ago when he was in the hospital.

Weekend Fun in Waskom

This weekend we are in the big city of Waskom to celebrate Mark's Grandpa's 93rd birthday... here are a few shots of Anna so far... here she is deciding how she feels about the vibrating chair. She lasted in it maybe 10 mins and decided that was enough.And here we were playing with some of the items that JuJu will be using for VBS next week. heeheeAnd this well... we'll call it 'perfect contentment'.

Graduated to the Tub!

Anna had her first bath in her little tub inside the big tub tonight. This was much easier than her poor Mom trying to bath her in the sink. I just couldn't do it! She seemed to like this much better, too. No smiles, but she had a pleasant look on her face the whole time :) Also, we broke down and invested in a video camera, so we caught a bit of this on film, too. :)

Another Nap with Daddy

Anna loves to nap with her Daddy! They were having a nap today while I was washing the sheets! :O But they didn't seem to mind.

More Weekend Nathan Pictures!

I just received some pictures from Ernestine of the weekend and had to share! Here's one of Nathan grabbing Anna's hand... And this one cracks me up! This was soon after we realized Mr. Nathan had done his business in his pants... poor Auntie was holding Anna and couldn't hold her nose... but even Nathan realized what a stench he had made! heehee

One Month Appointment

Anna had a good checkup today. Poor baby had to get one shot, but she handled it ok :) She was up to 8lbs, 1.5 oz, which was great since she wasn't back to her birth weight at her 2 week appt. She had also grown a half inch and is now 20.5" long. Good job, Anna!

Happy One Month!

Anna turned one month old today... 4 days after her due date! Hooray! Happy one month, Anna!

A Cousin Comparison

Anna's great-grandpa went in to the hospital early Friday morning, so we decided to make the trip to Waskom to see him. While we were here, his cousin, Nathan, came over to meet Anna. He is about 6 months older than Anna... and here is a comparison in size :) Aren't they cute? Nathan was only slightly interested in checking out Anna and Anna was asleep for the visit. haha! Maybe they will be more interested when they get to see each other for July 4th...

Tummy Time

Here's two different tummy times with Anna... we think we like it more than she does... but she is working hard to strengthen her neck muscles during these times :D

Bath and a Bug

Anna wasn't sure what she thought about her sink bath... it wasn't TOOO bad... :)And this is her new bug that came in the round of gifts that her JuJu and Papa brought up from Waskom from various friends and family. :)
