Chick-fil-a-ing

Today we went to a consignment sale and then to Chick-fil-a for our lunch... Anna and Clara had fun playing in the treehouse after lunch :)

Gone to Arkansas!

Yesterday Anna and I took a 5.5 hr drive to Arkansas to visit our friends, Clara & Amanda. Anna did great on the trip... phew! I have taken lots of cute pictures, but I don't have my camera cord, so I'll have to use some more from the weekend in Waskom... Here's Anna getting into JuJu's pantry. And here she is playing with the 30 something year old Fisher Price farm.

Happy Birthday, Caden!

Anna and I came to Waskom this weekend, since Mark headed to France on Friday... we have had a good weekend and today we got to go to Caden's 4th birthday party! Here's the birthday boy. Anna really enjoyed the party... she liked the biter biscuit in her goodie bag, the cake and the balloon... and of course watching the other kids.

Wiggly and the Park

This week we had playgroup at The Wiggly Play Center and Anna enjoyed it... I think she is dancing a little bit here.

The rest of these are from the park yesterday. It was beautiful and sunny, but a little windy!

A Trip to the Mall

Today we went to the mall just to go... I had forgotten that the Cat in the Hat was going to be at Pottery Barn Kids... but we saw the commotion and went in to get a picture. Anna didn't like him very much :) Then we stopped by the mall play area and Anna had some fun... she mostly enjoyed watching the other kids, but she liked this thingie on the wall.

Playgroup Valentine's Party

Yesterday, we had the playgroup Valentine's party here and it was alot of fun! We had some out sick that we really missed, but we still had a good group of kids and moms. Here's Anna with a crazy face! And Lincoln is showing us how a shopping cart should really be used.
Lincoln wasn't too sure about sitting in the chair next to Anna... but Anna seemed to like it :)

Here's a cute one of Allie and Anna. They were sharing toys pretty nicely... but here it looks like Allie is trying to laugh discreetly.

And Anna had some more friends over, but I didn't have my camera out enough!!

Some Sand and Sun

My parents were here a couple days this week and lookie what we have here... my Dad made Anna a sandbox! Whoo hoo! While Dad was working on it, I decided I could move the sand to the back from the car in the front... using Anna's stroller. :D So, I moved 9 50lb bags of sand, one trip per bag, to the back!The sandbox looks great and even has a lid. I need to get some more sand to fill it up a bit more, but Anna went ahead and tried it out this afternoon... I think she is going to really enjoy it!

9 Months Old!!

Anna turned 9 months old yesterday! At her checkup, her stats were 21lbs, 4oz (85%) and 28.5" (78%). Today we went for pictures. I love this first pic, despite the slightly disco prop. :)

Behind Closed Doors

Today Anna was headed past the stairs to look out the front window. I shut the doors to Daddy's office so she wouldn't get in to play with cords. When I looked back and noticed she wasn't at the window anymore, I figured she had escaped to the dining room... but no! She had snuck into her Daddy's office and closed the door behind her!!!

In Training

Anna was watching Baylor basketball with her Daddy this morning and she thinks she's got it all figured out. She can even palm her basketball. ha

Skilz and a Cool Chick

Here is Anna sitting by the newly installed gate. Does it look like she is plotting ways to get around it and over it? I had to be a bit creative with the installation. As you can see, I had to go to the second stair because the left wall is diagonal on the first one. And then I had to deal with the wrought iron post on the right... so I added a couple of black zip ties for extra sturdiness. :) Today at the store, I put these on Anna... and I mean... I couldn't leave without them, could I?!?

Stolen Photos

Today we went to play with Conner... and I can't believe it, but I forgot my camera! I try to never leave the house without it... so, I had to steal pics from Melissa... if you read Conner's blog, I apologize for the same photo :) We had a great visit and there was a whole lot of talking going on between the two of them in secret baby language! Anna enjoyed playing in Conner's cool walk around the table thingie. And then after she got out of the contraption, she decided to stand there and chew on the elephant's nose a bit more. Thanks for having us over, Conner and Melissa!
