Playing Hard at Playgroup

Today we went to playgroup at our friend, Candice's house. We had a good group and everyone seemed to have fun! Here's Anna chilling with Lincoln for a minute.... Then we had the 'after party' at my house. heehee No, really a couple of us just got together to plan out our playgroup calendar for a few months. Anna had fun playing some more with her friends Rachel and Jonah.

Anna in her Dress

It is a good thing that Anna's JuJu knows how to sew, cause I certainly couldn't make her this sweet dress! She wore it to church today and we actually stayed for both sunday school and church service. This is the first time we've done that since she was born :O So, she was in the nursery for almost 3 hours. She did great!

Naked Shopping!!!

Yesterday, Anna threw up her dinner when she gagged on something she found distasteful. So, I stripped her down and let her do a little naked shopping while I cleaned up. This afternoon she was practicing her trumpeting/bugling skills.

I bought patterns to make some felt food awhile ago and finally got around to making some (after my mom helped me figure out what stitches to do). I'm so crafty! haha My husband is probably just wishing I would make this for real.

It looks like Anna is almost ready to do some real shopping and push her cart around. Well, she at least is getting to be an expert at standing up :)

Swinging at the Park

Today was such a lovely day, that we decided to go to the park with Auntie Ang when she came over to visit. Anna enjoyed the swings :)

Happy 8 Months!

Anna is 8 months old today!!! Can you believe it? Me either... :) Some of her latest tricks are pulling/styling her hair while drinking her evening bottle, army crawling like a champ, and pulling up to her knees but being frustrated cause she can't get to her feet. I helped her up here and she could lean for a little bit. But she did get a little distracted being a ham for the camera. Also, we have discovered that she likes it when we blow her face and hair... so we're thinking she may become a model, but only do shoots with wind or fake wind.

And just to reminisce a little, here is Anna 7 months ago. This picture is hanging in her room where I pass it every time I enter her room. It makes me giggle :)

The Jefferson Restaurant

Since I've had a couple folks ask about the Italian restaurant in Jefferson, thought I'd just blog it! It was called Lamache's and was inside the Historic Jefferson Hotel on Austin St. I'm still thinking about that lasagna!

Having Fun in the Hamper!

Anna has been wild on the changing table lately... trying to climb the wall, trying to pull the shelf over, and trying to jump into the hamper. She did not actually jump in, but she seemed to like it in there. :) I'm sure there was a warning about this when I opened the hamper... but oh well! heehee

Granny turns 60!

Last weekend we made a quick trip back to Waskom to celebrate Granny Janny's 60th birthday. We went to a lovely (and slightly fancy) Italian restaurant in Jefferson, TX. I was so proud of Anna for how well behaved she was during dinner! The food was really yummy, too. I had chicken alfredo, which was good, but I was coveting my mom's lasagna. It was YUMMY! Here's a shot of the birthday girl and Anna! Another cute one of Anna in her new ladybug sleeper.
