Crafty Girls
During our decorating weekend, we decided that my tropical upstairs bathroom needed some bamboo frames... we couldn't find any except some super-expensive ones, so crafty Angela thought we should just make them. We bought flat frames, long sticks of bamboo, hot-glue guns, & a lighter. We cut the bamboo, burned the ends & hot-glued them on to make these beautiful frames. Maybe we should sell them... haha

Mark goes to Hong Kong
I landed in Hong Kong this morning, in transit to Penang Malaysia. Since I had 7 hours between flights, I decided to take the train into town to see one of my college friends, Nick.
From there, we headed into town to find some discount electronics, as he had a virus on his computer. While looking for the equipment, we ran across some interesting dinner choices.

We also got up close and personal with one of the lobsters!

Julie and Juan get hitched!

Sarah and I are up in Waskom this weekend to participate in her cousin Julie's wedding. Last evening, we attended their rehearsal, as Sarah will be tending the guestbook duties, while I am looking after the candle lighting, and the seating of the grandparents.
During the rehearsal, Brother Leland Crawford had plenty of insightful words for Juan. He was clearly listening intently.

Juan's son Michael was taking his ring bearer position very seriously here! He will be standing in the wedding, although I think he might be interested in playing his video game just before and after!
Sarah and I send our best wishes to Julie and Juan today on their wedding!!

A View of the Lake District
Here are a couple more pictures from our trip to the Lake District. It was a hazy, rainy day, but everything was still beautiful! This house above if just across the street from Beatrix Potter's home, Hill Top (we couldn't get a very good view of her home). The picture below is a church in the town of Hawkshead, close to Hill Top. If you want to see all our pictures from the trip, click here: share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8CcsnLJs0bNKW
