A Bit of This and That

I don't have many pics from Puerto Rico, since I didn't feel too great after the first night... but here's a couple from the first night.  Here's Luke and me on the beach.
And the mandatory toe picture...
Anna had much fun in Waskom with all of her grandparents while we were gone.  Here she is watching Elmo with Papa.
We got home today and she decided it would be fun to get into her toy box.

A Little Bit of Puerto Rico

Last night we arrived in San Juan in the evening and checked into our hotel, right in downtown San Juan.  We had an easy walk down to this area of Old San Juan that was really hopping with both locals and tourists.  Here's Mark with his pincho - basically a skewer of bbq meat.
Here was the entertainment that was going on there in the square... there were some older ladies having much fun dancing!

Today we came to our other hotel on the beach (the Ritz Carlton, where Mark's work events are).  We have had a relaxing day so far and have a dinner with his work people tonight on the beach.  Here's the view from our window.

Fun with Friends

Yesterday Anna got crafty... here she is with her friend, Rachel, working on some cards.

It was time to play after crafts... and I'm not sure what she and Connor are doing here, but I thought it was funny!

Playgroup at The Purple Cow

Today we had playgroup at The Purple Cow restaurant in Plano.  It was a fun little place and here is Anna enjoying some chocolate/peanut butter milkshake.  Yum!

More Nassau and a little Paradise Island

Today we visited Fort Charlotte in Nassau... it was a nice little tour.

Then we took the ferry over to Paradise Island and walked through Atlantis a bit and then walked up the island to Versaille Gardens.

Across from Versailles Gardens was The Cloister.

After the ferry back, we walked a bit more around Nassau and went to Cafe Matisse for dinner.  It was a lovely stop to refresh and have a nice dinner after a long day of walking.  I had the sweet potato gnocchi with gorgonzola and it was very yummy!  We realized that tomorrow is the 6th anniversary of when Mark proposed, so we decided we were celebrating that, along with our early 5th anniversary :)

A Trip to the Bahamas

We have been having a lovely time in the Bahamas.  Here's the view from our balcony...

And here's me and my virgin Miami Vice... which was SOOOOO good!  It's half strawberry and half pina colada.  I should have turned it so you could see the nice swirl!

Here's me enjoying the beach by our hotel.  Mark is the little black dot above my right foot - he's snorkelling.

After a little while in town we came back and then enjoyed some reading by the beach as the sun went down.

Here's a nice shot of Luke by the beach. :)

Here's the ice cream shop we found in the hotel next to ours. :D  Mark made his own sundae.  It was very interesting!

Anna a'bouncin...

Last night we went to a fundraiser for a little boy in our church who's reached his lifetime limit on his insurance.  http://www.generationsforcarson.com/  We had dinner and Anna played in the bounce house  a bit.  Here she is in action.
