A Visit to the Living Museum

After the Science & Nature Museum, we checked out the Dallas Heritage Village, which is a living museum. However, none of the houses had any dressed up people to talk to us during our visit. It was still fun to wander around the houses and little town area. Here is a pretty house with Angela, Amanda, Clara & Ernestine in front.

Milkmaid, Interrupted

Yesterday my company and I went to the Museum of Nature & Science in Dallas, TX. They have recently combined forces with the Dallas Children's Museum and one exhibit was the Urban Farm, where there were many fun farm activities for kids. By far the most fun thing (for ALL of us) was the cow that could be milked. Clara REALLY enjoyed this!! She nearly forgot we were taking her picture...

A Gated Community

This week, a few of my friends came to visit. One was 21 months old and I was rather afraid of the dangerous stairs in my house, so I decided to go ahead and invest in a gate. I had never seen these with the swinging door, but really like it. It fits nicely and is hard enough to open that even the very smart 21-month old hasn't figured out. :)

Boots & Mark

Last weekend we went to Mark's friend's wedding reception and stayed at his parents' house. Their kitty, Boots, really seemed to like Mark and his new haircut. Or maybe Mark uses tasty product on his hair. We weren't really sure... :D

More Decorating

I blogged a few black & white pictures awhile back that I was intending to display in my guest room... I just finished that display by hanging these shelves I found on SUPER SALE! :D

I still can't seem to write in the title box... very strange! Today, my birthday present arrived early... It is my new table for the foyer... it is a tea table, but I don't guess I will be having tea on it. I just thought it was quite lovely and would be a nice piece near the front door. :)
