Hmmm... for some reason it won't let me type in the 'Title' box. Oh well! I didn't have much to say anyway, just felt like it had been too long since posting! I think we actually went all day yesterday with no rain, but I just heard a storm outside a few minutes ago and our 10-day forecast is still predicting scattered t-storms for the next 8 days!

My other excitement is that I got a haircut on Saturday - and you can actually tell! It is shorter than it has been in a very long time, but still not short... just lots of crazy layers. I will have to get Mark to take a picture to post :)

Thank you, Mark!!

It does indeed pay to have a husband who travels as much as mine does! We just booked our next big trip with his travel points... in Aug/Sept, we'll be making our way to the continent of South America - first time for both of us. We'll fly by way of Sao Paulo, Brazil to Iguassu Falls, Brazil, where we will actually stay three nights in Argentina. These gorgeous falls below are Iguazu Falls also known as Iguassu and I stole this picture from wikipedia. These falls are actually the border between Argentina & Brazil at this point and are also very close to the border of Paraguay, so we will probably pop over there. :)
After three nights there, we will fly over to Rio de Janeiro (notice, it doesn't follow the i before e rule), Brazil for 7 nights. I'm not sure what all we will get up to there... still planning that part! I am soooo excited!! :D

A Visit in Arkansas

Last week, I took a trip to Arkansas, to visit my friend Amanda. Her daughter, Clara, was posing in her new sundress her Gran made and I thought it was funny that this is how she posed when we said to stand by the wall. We took a side trip to Mansfield, Missouri, to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum & Historic Home, where Laura wrote the Little House books. Here is her home... and that is Clara and her stroller in the bottom right. On the step of the home, there was a little puddle of water... we could tell Clara was seriously considering having a drink until her Mom stopped her. :)

Mark's quote of the evening was, "I know not to mess with the scooper of ice cream, or else you might get the small portion!"

Happy 31st, Mark!!

Today is Mark's 31st birthday!! We had a lovely dinner at the Down Under Pub & Grill and then ice cream cake at home. Nice 'blowing out the candles' pose, Mark! :)
