Fish & Animals
This weekend, my friend Brandy was in town... that's her little boy Jared, with us. He didn't know what to think about us! We had a nice weekend and went to both the aquarium and the zoo. Yesterday was soooo windy and cold, we had to go to the aquarium instead of the zoo. But today was beautiful and sunny - perfect for the zoo!

Mark Travels to Washington DC

I recently had the opportunity to travel to Washington DC in early April. I would highly recommend that you take a trip there during this time. It was really beautiful, and I thought I would include this photo from right outside the White House. Actually, it was quite a way from the White House (security made sure of that).

Home for Easter...
While home for Easter, I have been looking through more old pictures and found this gem. My grandpa, Pop, is in the back middle. His sister, Mavis is on the left, brother Bill on the right and his brother, Vance is in the front middle. I really like Pop's bow tie! :) If you click on the photo, you can see the detail alot better.

Knights of the Round Table
Saturday, Mark & I picked out a dining room table. It is one of those huge round ones (72") that seats 8. I think it will look nice in our room, since the room is rather square-ish.

GiGi & her tennis shoes
In my decorating, I have decided to use some old pictures in my guest room. This is one I'm using. This is my grandma, GiGi. The story behind the picture is that there was a travelling photographer that would come around to houses to take your photo. When GiGi heard he was on his way, she rushed to get in to her best dress... but forgot to put on her pretty shoes and still had on her tennis shoes. :)

Crafty Girls
During our decorating weekend, we decided that my tropical upstairs bathroom needed some bamboo frames... we couldn't find any except some super-expensive ones, so crafty Angela thought we should just make them. We bought flat frames, long sticks of bamboo, hot-glue guns, & a lighter. We cut the bamboo, burned the ends & hot-glued them on to make these beautiful frames. Maybe we should sell them... haha
