Peter & Peter Again...

Angela and I couldn't resist this photo opportunity at the end of the Beatrix Potter Attraction. Peter was being a very naughty bunny and eating a few carrots from Mr. Macgregor's garden. We tried not to follow in his footsteps on our trip.
As our trip was drawing to a close and we were about to head out of the Lake District, we stopped at a little park beside the road and who did we see, but Mr. Peter Rabbit himself! He does have quite a naughty gleam in his eye, doesn't he?

Miss Potter's Museum

Yesterday, Angela & I went to the Beatrix Potter Museum in the Lake District of the UK, about a 4.5 hour drive from London. I have left my camera in the rental car, to be picked up tomorrow, so maybe then I will finally have some pictures up. I hope no one is waiting on pins and needles... :)

Eureka! I have done it!!

Well, folks... I did it... I pulled it off... I flew to London and totally surprised Angela with a visit!!! Her friends, Diana & Colin, helped me and it was so much fun!! I am here for a week, as Angela is off of school next week... we are mostly relaxing, but also have a short road trip planned up to the Lakes District to visit the Beatrix Potter Museum. It should be a nice break. Hopefully we will have some pictures to post soon!

Soreness & Flowers

On Saturday, I ran the Texas Half Marathon with my friend, Amanda. My hips were hurting during the last five miles, but I finished... Now I have been walking like an old lady the past few days, but think I am finally on the road to recovery. :)

Today, my doorbell rang and I opened to these gorgeous flowers that Mark sent me for Valentine's. He is out of town for work til late tomorrow, so it was nice to get this surprise. Aren't they lovely? They smell wonderful, too!

Let is snow... let it snow... let it snow...

Today it snowed here in Allen... for at least two hours... and it may still be snowing, but it is dark, so I'm not sure... maybe we'll wake up to a winter wonderland... :)
